Globus was shipping nearly 1,000 boxes per day through UPS WorldShip. The company had no way to shop and ship rates from other carriers.
This meant that Globus was paying $13 per parcel package, on average. Company leadership thought that number was high, but had no way to prove it.
We turned on Rate Shopping because packages were already being scanned into packchain with perfect dimensions. The software uses customizable business logic to instantly find the best shipping rates between carriers. A shipping label is printed, and everything is stored securely for future audit.
Within six-months, Globus had nine rate adjustments between carriers. Average parcel costs dropped from $13 to $9. Rate adjustments happened without negotiation. Daily shipping volume did all the negotiating between carriers. Annual savings are now projected to exceed $1.4M.
