Globus sells safety gear and was having problems shipping 1,000 boxes and 30 pallets per day. Old technology made warehouse workers manually enter shipping manifests.
A single parcel manifest could take up to six minutes to type into different systems. A pallet manifest could take up to 12 minutes. This slowed down operations. It also created backlogs that cost the company $40k per day in unrealized revenue.
We studied the warehouse workflow and installed three parcel dimensioners and one pallet dimensioner. This immediately fixed the problem. Workers now scan dimensions and weight into packchain, which also stores images. A Perfect Manifest is sent to carriers, automatically, for every order.
